These are the terms for wedding websites and photo albums made by Sixpence, run by Yehor in Easingwold, North Yorkshire. We've kept them short and plain. Questions: yehor.yorkwebsites@gmail.com.
1. What you get
- Wedding website (£79): a website for your wedding, designed for you, with the sections you choose (your story, the day, venue and travel, places to stay, gifts, FAQ) and an RSVP form. RSVPs go to your own private page, where you can download them as a spreadsheet.
- Photo QR album (£49): an album page your guests open by scanning a QR code, printable QR table cards (as a file you print, printing isn't included), and a private page where you can hide, delete and download the photos.
- Both (£119): everything above, in a matching design.
- Photos are saved in high quality, up to 2560 pixels on the long side, not as the untouched originals. Location and other hidden details are removed from every photo.
- Your site lives at an address on our domain (for example https://marriages-helper.pages.dev/w/your-names/). It isn't listed on search engines, but anyone with the link can open it.
2. Changes
- Text and details: unlimited changes (times, places to stay, FAQ answers, wording, the RSVP deadline and so on) until your wedding day. Send them by email and we usually make them within 2 days, often sooner. On the day itself, we'll do our best but can't promise.
- Design: up to 2 rounds of design changes (colours, fonts, layout, adding or removing sections). A bigger redesign after that is priced separately, and we'll always agree the price with you first.
3. Paying
- Half when we start, half when your site goes live and you're happy with it. Bank transfer is easiest.
- The price is fixed when you book. There are no monthly or per-guest fees.
- If the second half isn't paid within 14 days of your site going live, we may take the site offline until it is.
4. Cancelling and refunds
- You can cancel within 14 days of booking for any reason. If you asked us to start work during those 14 days, we may keep a fair part of the first payment for the work already done; otherwise we refund it in full.
- After 14 days you can still cancel at any time before the site goes live; we keep the first payment for the work done, and you don't pay the second half.
- Once the site is live and paid for, we don't give refunds, but if something doesn't work as described, we'll fix it, and if we can't, we'll refund you.
- If we can't finish your site for any reason of ours, you get everything you've paid back.
- If your wedding moves, we'll move the dates on your site for free. If it's cancelled, tell us and we'll take everything down and delete it.
5. How long it stays online, and deleting your data
- Your website and album stay online until 12 months after your wedding. Your private page shows the exact dates.
- After that they close: guests see a short "this website has closed" page and can't add photos or RSVPs. You can still sign in for 30 more days to download your photos and replies.
- Then all your RSVPs and photos are deleted automatically, normally within a few days. We don't keep backups, so this can't be undone.
- Want it kept longer, or deleted sooner? Ask us before the date. Keeping it longer may cost a little extra.
6. Photos and what's in them
- Guests upload photos themselves. You (the couple) decide what stays: you can hide or delete any photo from your private page.
- Guests are responsible for the photos they add. They should only add photos they took or are allowed to share, and nothing offensive or illegal.
- We don't check every photo, but we'll remove anything illegal as soon as we know about it.
- Please keep your own copy. Download your photos soon after the day. We look after them carefully but don't keep backups, and we can't be responsible for photos lost through a technical fault.
7. Asking for something to be taken down
Anyone, guest or not, can ask for a photo or a piece of text to be removed, for example if they're in a photo they don't want shared. Ask the couple, or email us at yehor.yorkwebsites@gmail.com with the website link and which photo or text it is. We'll usually take it down within 2 days, and straight away if it's illegal or puts someone at risk. We'll let the couple know.
8. Your information
How we handle your and your guests' information is in our privacy notice. We only use it to run your website and album.
9. If things go wrong
- We work hard to keep your site running, but we rely on Cloudflare to host it and can't promise it will never be unavailable, especially on the day. Tell us straight away if something isn't working.
- If we're at fault, the most we're responsible for is what you paid us. This doesn't limit anything the law doesn't allow us to limit, and it doesn't affect your legal rights as a consumer.
10. The legal bit
These terms are under the law of England and Wales. If we change them, the version you agreed to when you booked still applies to your booking.
